Beeswax - A natural wax made by bees. Has a natural scent and honey colour. Beeswax burns more cleanly and longer than other wax types.
In the middle ages the Catholic church legislated the use of pure beeswax candles in churches because they did not cause the soot and smoke problems that other candles did i.e. damaging building interiors and artwork. The spectrum of light emitted when burning a beeswax candle is the same as natural sunlight.
