What's in a name? Well, in our name, there's plenty. We named ourselves after our owner’s first name, Ruzica.
Ruzica.ca is a small web design company founded by the owner Ruzica Krajcic.
Born in Slovenia in 1962, Ruzica and her family moved to Canada in November 1963. Growing up with an unusual name, Ruzica stood out… when all she wanted was to blend in with the scenery. Today she embraces this difference and shies away from anything which is too commercial.
Ruzica is highly creative. She is inspired by music, films, current events, popular culture, fashion, travelling and learning.
Tired of the same old… then come and explore the world of Ruzica.
“I know what I like and when I can’t find it, I make it” declares Ruzica.
My musical taste varies, I like many genres but mostly non-commercial music… artists who compose and interpret their music. Lyrics are poetry and should be appreciated like a fine wine.
I have always been a visionary… looking ahead of my time. I am more a trend setter than a follower.
The path to her present career took several twists and turns over the years. Ruzica speaks three languages (English, French and Hungarian). She also taught figure skating for ten years on a voluntary basis. Having studied Industrial Relations & Economics at McGill University, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in 1985. She then studied Fashion Designing at Concordia University and worked in many areas of the fashion industry.
Ruzica has years of experience working in various sectors of the economy from Health Care, Customer Service in the Hotel & Restaurant business to the Retail sector.
The entrepreneurial spirit was always in her. In 1988, she registered Ruzica, a small company creating unique fashion styles. In 1993, she registered Guerrilla Marketing and created hand-made greeting cards. By 2003, Ruzica embarked on yet another change and studied Web Design at Demstech.com. Since, she started and founded Ruzica.ca in February 2004 and has been designing web sites since 2003 for small businesses and friends.
